This tenant improvement project transforms a vacant, first-generation commercial space into a refined, modern hair studio—bringing new energy to a revitalizing urban corridor.

Working within a compact 900-square-foot footprint, the design leverages the existing high ceilings to create a more efficient, multi-level environment. The introduction of a mezzanine level expands the usable area, allowing for additional styling stations while maintaining an open, cohesive experience below.

The layout is organized to balance operational performance with client comfort. Styling stations are arranged to maximize natural light and circulation, while clear pathways support both staff efficiency and a seamless client journey through the space.

Material selections reinforce a contemporary yet approachable identity. A restrained palette of warm wood tones, soft neutrals, and dark accents creates contrast and depth without overwhelming the compact footprint. Custom arched mirrors and refined detailing introduce a sense of rhythm and visual continuity throughout the studio.

The mezzanine is integrated as both a functional and spatial element—adding capacity while creating vertical layering within the space. A clean, modern stair connects the levels, maintaining visual openness and reinforcing the overall design clarity.
