This tenant improvement project reimagines a former dermatologist’s office into a modern, elevated med-spa experience—positioning SKNdustry as a distinct destination within Philadelphia’s competitive aesthetics market.

The design builds upon the existing clinical framework of the space, transforming it into an environment that balances precision, comfort, and brand identity. While the original layout provided a functional backbone, the intervention focuses on redefining the patient experience—moving away from a purely medical atmosphere toward a more refined, hospitality-driven setting.

The planning strategy prioritizes clarity and flow. Treatment rooms are organized for operational efficiency, while public-facing areas are designed to feel open, calm, and intentionally curated. Circulation is streamlined to support both staff performance and a seamless client journey—from entry and consultation through treatment and departure.

Material and lighting selections play a critical role in shifting the character of the space. A restrained palette is elevated through layered textures, soft contrasts, and controlled illumination—creating a modern-glam aesthetic that feels both sophisticated and approachable. Reflective surfaces, warm tones, and precise detailing introduce a sense of refinement without compromising the clinical standards required for medical aesthetics.
